AFTERGLOW – Lightsuit Segment from Sweetgrass Productions.
It could all be over before you know it.
Remember this the next time you decide to not do something because it’s out of your comfort zone or you have too much going on or you’re feelin’ lazy. Life can be long and it can also be painfully short. The beauty of life is that we can never predict what’s going to happen tomorrow or even in the next five minutes. And anything is and can be possible. I know some people blame life for nothing exciting ever happening. But I really think these dudes should reevaluate. If you identify with everything I just described, please watch AFTERGLOW. I dare you to not want to do something epic.
This short film is too damn good. Its mixture of light, texture, and color is stunning and incredibly transfixing. It truly captures the raw essence of being on ice. I can feel every movement. The mountain breeze blowing across my face. I feel like I just took a couple deep breaths of air. The kind that’s crisp like a potato chip and so fresh that you can’t help but perk up a little.
AFTERGLOW struck a cord because it’s proof that we can be limitless when we want to be. The day we decide to really live life like each moment is our last will be the day we finally come to life.
Sharing a clip of me Tarzan swinging in Costa Rica. We made a trip to Monteverde right quick to check the nearby rainforest. Ended up zip-lining for the first time. One of their bonus obstacles was a “Tarzan Swing”, which was a thick piece of rope tied to a top branch of a massive canopy tree. The protocol was to attach ourselves to the harness and jump off a high-ish tower. We’ll free fall for a little bit and then get pulled back by the instructors handling the other end of the rope.
I really didn’t want to do this… and I almost chickened out. But everyone in my group went for it. It wouldn’t have felt right if I didn’t. When I stepped to the edge and looked down at everyone, I was scared shitless. Not afraid of heights, but for sure not down for jumping. The sensation of falling is worst. And despite my own doubts, I jumped off and I’m so fucking glad that I did.
